Scooter's Coffee Drives into Las Cruces, Bringing a Midwest Favorite to New Mexico

Las Cruces residents Matt and Jamie Yeager have introduced Scooter's Coffee, a popular Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise, to the local community in November of 2023. The Yeagers, both healthcare professionals, are the proud owners of the first Scooter's Coffee franchises in New Mexico.

Scooter's Coffee, founded in 1998 in Bellevue, Nebraska, has grown to become a major player in the drive-through coffee industry, boasting nearly 400 locations across 20 states. Known for its commitment to high-quality drinks, speedy service, and exceptional customer care, Scooter's has thrived for over two decades.

The Yeagers have ambitious plans for Las Cruces, aiming to build at least three Scooter's Coffee kiosks in town. While specific locations are yet to be determined, they hope to have subsequent openings planned in nine to twelve-month intervals.

What sets Scooter's apart is its drive-thru model, ideally suited for today's fast-paced society. The drive-thru concept gained even more popularity during the pandemic, providing customers with a quick and socially distant way to get their coffee fix.

The Yeagers were drawn to Scooter's Coffee for its mission and the unique kiosk design and service model. The brand's motto, "Amazing People, Amazing Drinks... Amazingly Fast!" aligns with their preference for a swift and efficient coffee experience.

Despite other coffee drive-thrus in Las Cruces, the Yeagers are confident in Scooter's success. Matt Yeager believes there's plenty of room in the market, emphasizing that Scooter's will offer a different option without replacing existing favorites.

The Yeagers, who have been part of the Las Cruces community for around 20 years, express their commitment to providing employees with a fun work environment. They hope to contribute to the local economy by creating job opportunities, particularly for college students and others in the community.

Excited about their new venture, the Yeagers plan to stay active in their healthcare professions. Matt works as a nurse at MountainView Regional Medical Center, while Jamie serves as the practice manager of the Heart and Vascular Center at the same hospital.

Scooter's Coffee, focusing on artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries, and signature drinks like the Caramelicious, aims to bring a taste of the Midwest to Las Cruces. The company has recently expanded its menu to include organic hot and iced teas, single-origin Coffee, and Cold Brew & Cream.

As Scooter's Coffee prepares to make its mark in Las Cruces, residents can look forward to a new coffee destination that combines quality, speed, and a commitment to the local community.
